Our rating: 5

Reservation required: Yes

Dress code: Business, elegant, I wore a dress and Josh and Aden both wore suits. We did not feel overdressed.

Price:

Expensive. But so worth it. For the three of us, we had drinks, an entree each, one side dish, two desserts and paid just over $350 with the tip included.

Service:

From the moment we stepped out of our car, we were treated like royalty. They offer complimentary valet parking which we used.

When we entered the hotel, there was a person who directed us to the restaurant.

In the restaurant, they called me “Mrs. Dack” and were incredibly professional from the moment we stepped in.

We were so pleased with the level of service they offered. Aden asked a server walking past where the bathroom was and he stopped his trek to wherever he was headed and said, “It’s just down the hall, may I walk you there?” Aden then put his napkin down to go to the restroom, and while he was gone, his napkin was replaced with a new one.

Food:

Incredible. Melt-in-your-mouth filet and everything on the plate complimented each other.  Before the meal, they had bread available where we could choose one of four different bread options. They came multiple times to offer more.

Josh had lamb chops which he said were the best he’s ever had.

We had a side of potatoes and broccolini.

  • I didn’t love the broccoli because it was a bit too citrusy for me, but I could have had the potatoes all day.

Atmosphere:

Elegant, professional, incredibly high-level of service.

On top of all that, they have live music playing each night and it was fabulous.

The only complaint (if we can even call it that) was that the bathroom stalls were incredibly tiny and a bit of a squeeze to get into, but seriously a non-issue.

UPDATE:

This is our anniversary and special occasion spot and we are continually impressed. Always top-notch professional, elegant, romantic atmosphere. We absolutely love this place and would give it more than 5 stars. If you need a fancy date night in Charleston, this is the place to go.

We were just there for our anniversary in December and they gave us a card to thank us for coming and a special complimentary dessert. The service was perfection. They've just recently renovated the interior and it's lovely.

  • How can I join a trip?
If a trip is listed on our website and open for booking, you can reserve your spot online. If you have a custom trip in mind, reach out to us at info@sueqtravel.com and we’ll work together to plan something just for you.
  • What does the trip cost include?
Each trip listing will outline exactly what is included. Typically, your cost covers accommodations, ground transportation, guided activities, some meals, and full trip coordination. Flights, travel insurance, and most meals are usually not included unless noted otherwise.
  • Do you include flights in your packaging?
Most often, our pricing does not include flights. Airfare can vary greatly depending on when and where you're flying from, so rather than guessing or inflating the trip price to cover possible increases, we keep flights separate. If flights are ever included, it's usually because we have access to a special deal. Occasionally, we offer a credit toward airfare, such as “Up to $X toward your flights” or “$X off the total trip price to use toward airfare.” Any offers like this will always be clearly noted in the trip details.
  • Do I book my own flight?
Unless stated otherwise, travelers are responsible for booking their own flights. SueQ Travel can assist with flight bookings if needed. We also urge travelers to wait to book your flight until the trip has been officially confirmed. I am happy to offer guidance on the best arrival and departure times or which airports to use.
  • Can I travel solo, or do I need a group to join?
Absolutely. Many of our travelers come solo. We welcome individuals, pairs, and small friend groups.
  • Is it possible to make payments over time?
Yes. Most of our trips offer payment plans with a deposit up front and the remaining balance split into installments. Full details will be shared during the booking process.
  • Do you offer gift certificates or travel as a gift?
Yes. Travel makes a wonderful gift. We can create a custom digital or printed certificate for any amount or toward a specific trip. Reach out to set one up for someone special.
  • How big are your groups?
Our small group trips typically range from 1:1 to about 8 travelers total. This allows for more flexibility, deeper connections, and a more personalized experience wherever we go.
  • Will I have any free time?
Yes. While the days are thoughtfully planned, we always leave space for rest, spontaneity, and those magical moments you cannot schedule. Whether you want a quiet afternoon or time to explore on your own, there is room for that.
  • What’s the age range of your travelers?
Most of our travelers are adults ranging from their 30s to 70s, though we have welcomed both younger and older guests as well. We focus more on shared travel values like curiosity, kindness, and flexibility than on age.
  • Are your trips good for kids or teens?
Most of our trips are designed for adults, but we do offer occasional family-friendly or mother-and-child trips that are perfect for younger travelers. Each trip will clearly note if it's suitable for children or teens.
  • What kind of accommodations do you use?
We stay in well-located, comfortable accommodations that reflect the character of the destination. This might be a charming hotel, a cozy inn, or a scenic vacation rental. Each place is chosen with care to offer a good night's rest and a memorable experience.
  • Do I need to plan anything, or is everything handled?
Everything is planned and arranged for you. That includes accommodations, transportation, and scheduled activities. Some meals are also included. All you need to do is pack your bags and show up ready to enjoy.
  • Who coordinates and leads the trips?
Currently, all of our trips are personally coordinated and led by me, Susan, the owner of SueQ Travel. I travel with each group to ensure everything runs smoothly and that we make the most of every moment.
  • Do I need a passport?
If we’re traveling internationally, yes, you will need a valid passport. Make sure it’s up to date and will not expire within six months of your travel dates. For U.S.-based trips, a government-issued REAL ID is now required.
  • Can I arrive early or stay after the trip ends?
Definitely. Many travelers choose to add extra days before or after the group itinerary. We can offer suggestions or help with bookings if you'd like to extend your time in the area.
  • Are your trips physically demanding?
Most of our trips involve a moderate level of physical activity. This usually includes walking tours, light hikes, and exploring on foot. If a trip is more relaxed or more active than usual, that will be noted in the trip description.
  • Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. We strongly recommend travel insurance for all travelers. It helps protect you in case of unexpected delays, cancellations, or emergencies. We are happy to recommend trusted providers if you need help finding a policy.
  • What if I get sick or injured during the trip?
Your safety is always a priority. I travel with every group and can help coordinate care if something unexpected happens. We recommend that all travelers carry travel insurance that includes medical coverage for extra peace of mind.
  • What if plans change or the trip gets canceled?
Life happens. If SueQ Travel needs to cancel a trip for any reason, you will be given the option to transfer your payment to another trip or receive a refund based on the terms outlined at booking. We also suggest booking flexible flights and travel insurance for your own protection.
  • Do you offer private trips or custom tours?
Yes. Whether you are planning a girls' getaway, a family celebration, or something completely unique, we love building custom trips. Just email info@sueqtravel.com and we will start planning together.
  • How is SueQ Travel different from a big tour company?
We focus on small group travel for a reason. With fewer people, there is less hassle and more heart. Our trips feel like traveling with friends rather than being part of a large crowd. Plus, I am right there with you, ready to adjust plans and provide local insight along the way.
