The SueQ Travel Story
SueQ Travel was born out of a deep love for exploration and a passion for sharing the world with others.
​
It all began with a personal goal: visit all 50 U.S. states before turning 30. A few extra years and countless road trips later, that dream became a reality... and it sparked something even bigger. The next challenge? 20 countries in 20 years. That milestone came quicker than expected, especially with so many adventures across Europe, the UK, and Ireland. With family ties to Australia, the journey expanded even farther.

But while discovering new places was exhilarating, something even more meaningful emerged: bringing people along for the ride. There’s nothing quite like watching someone fall in love with a place you've already come to cherish.

For years, I balanced a demanding remote job in tech while leading trips during vacation days (or working remotely while on the road.) Eventually, I took the leap, left my 9-5, and launched two businesses: a consulting firm and SueQ Travel. It didn’t take long to realize where my heart truly was. SueQ Travel took off (pun intended), and I’ve been coordinating journeys full-time ever since.

SueQ Travel specializes in small group travel, usually with around six travelers. I’ve experienced the crowded chaos of big tours, and I knew I wanted something different: something personal, flexible, and meaningful. Smaller groups allow us to connect deeply with one another, experience a destination more authentically, and build in the freedom to adjust as we go.
Whether it's a custom trip for a family, a themed itinerary, a surprise location getaway, or one of our curated group tours, every SueQ Travel experience is built around connection, curiosity, and care.

My dream for SueQ Travel goes beyond incredible trips. One of my long-term goals is to offer fully funded journeys for widows. Offering opportunities for healing, reflection, and joy, whether it’s marking a difficult anniversary or finally visiting a destination they once dreamed of seeing with a loved one.

With over 19 years of experience as a travel advisor, Susan brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to every journey she curates. Having traveled to all 50 U.S. states and over 20 countries around the world, her expertise is grounded in firsthand experience and a deep love for exploration.
Susan specializes in creating tailored small group trips designed for those seeking camaraderie, adventure, and meaningful connections.
A former teacher with a talent for detailed planning, she ensures each trip runs smoothly across a variety of landscapes and cultures. Skilled in managing different modes of transportation, she prioritizes safety, comfort, and enjoyment throughout the experience. Beyond logistics, she understands that the true heart of travel lies in trying new things, tasting local flavors, and building relationships along the way.

Independent Travel Agent
Fueled by a deep passion for cultural discovery and over 15 countries visited (and counting!), MiKayla brings enthusiasm, curiosity, and care to every trip she helps plan.
Whether she's wandering through the charming streets of Belgium or soaking in Iceland’s natural wonders, MiKayla thrives on immersive travel (especially when it involves pastries, local coffee, and a story-rich corner of the world).

Having taken 8 cruises with various cruise lines, and holding a special love for Kauai, she’s experienced travel by land, sea, and everything in between—rickshaws, subways, boats, Segways, and trains are all part of the adventure. Her favorite experiences include observing animals unique to each destination and learning how culture shapes the daily life, architecture, and rhythms of a place.

But travel isn’t just about the destination for MiKayla—it’s about growth. She believes each journey offers a chance to build confidence and see the world (and yourself) in new ways.
